Special Cell

The Special Cell works for students who are Differently Able, Underprivileged and with financial problems to get various scholarships. The Cell provides scholarships opportunities for students who cannot afford higher education, differently able and underprivileged or marginalized groups, providing them with opportunities for educational and social advancement. The special cell ensures that students are aware of available scholarships and assists them in applying for relevant scholarships, such as informing students about Government, Non-Government and private bodies like Foundations and NGOs. The cell works to provide scholarships under various initiatives of the Government of India as well as the state government of Maharashtra. The Cell also works with The Desai Foundation, Mumbai and Samarthanam Trust for Disabled, Bangalore.The cell provides guidance and support to scholarship recipients throughout their academic journey. The cell identifies deserving students based on their merits, sports and facilitates their applications for Institutional scholarships, and encourages excellence.In Covid 19 Period, the Institute provides special help for all students and for that cell have the policy.



Objectives:

  • To create awareness on welfare measures to the deserving students by the way of scholarships

  • Create awareness programs regarding the special needs of different sections at the beginning of the academic session in the institution

  • Taking steps to make education affordable and accessible to the meritorious and economically disadvantaged students

  • To coordinate with regulatory authorities, NGOs and Foundations for forwarding the scholarship applications of the students.


Different types of scholarships and free-ship schemes introduced by central and state governments are made available to the students on time by the institution. The following are the main scholarships and free ships disbursed among the students.

Social Justice and Special Assistance Department

  1. Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship.

  2. Post-Matric Tuition Fee and Examination Fee (Freeship).

  3. Maintenance Allowance for student Studying in professional courses.

  4. Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship.

  5. Post-Matric Scholarship for persons with disability.

Tribal Development Department

  1. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme (Government Of India).

  2. Tuition Fee & Exam Fee for Tribal Students ( Freeship).

OBC, SEBC, VJNT & SBC Welfare Department

  1. Post Matric Scholarship to VJNT/OBC/SBC Students.

  2. Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to VJNT/OBC/SBC Students.

  3. Payment of Maintenance Allowance to VJNT and SBC Students Studying in Professional Courses and Living in Hostel Attached to Professional Colleges.
